Winter Must Haves

Hi friends. Winter has definitely arrived here in Texas over the past few weeks. We have had lots of ice and below freezing days! With Winter here let’s go over my Winter Must Haves!

One // Hot Vanilla

Hot Vanilla.

Even though I am a chocolate lover I’m not too fond of hot chocolate. If I want some it better be fresh and dark chocolate! Hot vanilla is a nice difference. Here is a recipe you can use!

Two // The Holiday

Love this movie, even though I can't stand Cameron Diaz as an actress

This is my absolute favorite movie, and I actually watch it all year long. I have to watch this at least 400,230,282 during the Winter season. Nothing is better than Jude Law and Kate Winslet in winter time!

Three // Funfetti Popcorn

Christmas Crunch {Funfetti Popcorn Christmas Style}

I talked about this on my last post. The Colley house is addicted to this stuff. It’s so easy to make! Make your popcorn and be sure to throw out at unpopped kennels. Crunch up pretzels and add m&m’s to the popcorn. Drizzle melted white chocolate bark over and stir. Add sprinkles. Welcome to your new addiction.

Four // Elf
10 Life lessons I learned from Buddy the Elf

This is one of my favorite Christmas movies, next to White Christmas. It’s funny, sweet, and get’s me in the winter spirit!

Five // Gold Dusted Decorations

Spray paint baby's breath gold & silver for decorations- Christmas, engagement party, bridal shower, or weddings.

I love the sparkle and beauty of gold dusted decorations and plants in the fall! Our Christmas tree is gold themed and I am so in love!

Six // Top Bun

New way to do a sock bun! 1.) Place your hair into a high ponytail 2.) Cut the end of a sock so that you can place out ponytail through it (the bigger the sock, the fuller your bun will be) 3.) Fan your hair out, making sure the sock is covered all around, then put a hair tie over it 4.) Take the remaining hair and split it in half 5.) Braid each side and wrap around base of

I love the top bun in winter time! With it being so much drier in the air I wash my hair every other day to not ruin it with so much heat. The top bun look is perfect for going to work or that fun Holiday party!

Seven // Oversized Sweaters

Green Contrast White Long Sleeve Geometric Sweater

Everyone has to have an oversized sweater for the Winter Time! It’s great with tights or jeans! I personally love adding a huge scarf to go along with it!

Eight // Peppermint Bark

Peppermint Bark

Who doesn’t need some peppermint bark in the winter time?

Nine // Castor Oil

Homemade Beauty DIY's for your hair with Castor Oil. Stimulates new growth, deep conditions, also treatment to control breakage.

I can’t survive without Castor Oil all year long, but I need it even more in the winter time! It’s great to use on your cuticles for the dry times! It’s natural and affordable!

Ten // Christmas Cottage

Christmas Cottage Scentsy Brick A cozy, inviting blend of Valencia oranges, raspberries, cloves, and spices.

It’s pretty much Winter in a smell. It’s a blend of f Valencia oranges, raspberries, cloves, and spices. I also love the evergreen smell!

What are your Winter Must Haves?

Pinterest Party and Festivities

Hello lovers!

So sorry to be out of touch for the past month. Things have been hectic in the Colley house! Tanner has been finishing up his first semester of graduate school and I’m quite ready for him to be done and not going to bed so late! I’ve been busy doing a lot of shopping and Christmas stuff. Speaking of Christmas, I may have spoiled one of my Christmas gifts. I found out I got Photoshop AND Lightroom! YAY! Here’s a quick re-cap of what we have been doing the past month:

// Two thanksgiving parties
// Leah’s Birthday
// Briana and Charlie’s Wedding
// Pinterest Party
// Leading worship
// Decorating for the Holidays

We got to have a Thanksgiving feast with some awesome people at our church we consider family.

I also had my first Pinterest Party on Monday this week! It was a lot of fun. We did crafts, had punch, and ate the most amazing popcorn of all time. I’ll post later some holiday recipes and include this one!
